OOTD : 31st October, 2014 - Halloween Hospital Visit (contains mentions of vomit - don't read if that makes you uneasy!)

This morning I was feeling a little unwell, nothing I thought was serious so I powered on and went to the meeting I had at uni in the morning. Afterwards I walked over to the shopping centre to meet my mum and sister because they had been there while I was at my meeting and it made sense for me to meet them there.

We went on home happily but in the afternoon I fell asleep in my room which gets warm in the afternoons because of the sun. When I woke up I was feeling a little unwell, I just assumed it was dehydration and that something to drink would make me feel heaps better. So I went and got a drink, which immediately came back up with the contents of my stomach from the day - not the nicest experience.

Anyway, because I had been experiencing pain in my right hip my mum rushed me to the hospital to make sure it wasn't appendicitis. We got there, I didn't even make it into the hospital before I was kneeled over in the garden retching, again!

Long story short, I ended up being admitted straight away and pumped full of fluids and drugs to keep me comfortable - everytime I was moved for a test or taken off fluids I would be right back at the throwing up part though - I was kept overnight to make sure it wasn't anything serious but they thing it was a severe case of dehydration that lead to me not being able to keep anything down.

So here is me, at twenty, having my first night in hospital by myself - in a ward full of old people who talked to themselves and insisted on discharging themselves at 3am. Let me tell you, it was not the best of sleeps!

Even in all of my sweaty, vomitty and gross feeling glory I managed to take a photo for you!

Dress : City Chic
Belt : City Chic

I was lucky enough that my mum had enough common sense to get me to change before heading off to the hospital into something more easily movable for tests and stuff, thank goodness! The photos below were taken the morning after when I was discharged - hence the tired face!

Top : City Chic
Leggings : Avella by Big W
Bandage : Priceless!

Anyway, that was how exciting my halloween was! I didn't even get drunk to end up like that either, unlike everyone else in the emergency room that night - probably why they took me in so quickly! Also, I have never been asked if I was pregnant, or whether it was a possibility, so many times in my life! I know they have to ask but it gets a little irritating! Especially when you have seven or so doctors who have come to see you and ask all of the same questions before examining you!

Anyway, enough of all of that! I hope you all had a better day than I did! My lesson from this day, which I am going to pass onto you guys is that you should stay hydrated and take care of yourselves!

Happy halloween!

Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo

P.S. This is why my posts have been non-existant all week, I am writing them retrospectively because I was too unwell to do so!
