Autumn/Winter Trends

As today officially marks the start of Autumn in Australia, I thought I would jump write in and get my season trend post done and dusted.. All of the pictures featured in this post are from the Asos website and I do not intend to steal their pictures, these are for demonstration purposes only!

Khaki

Khaki has been a pretty big trend for a few years now and for me, I feel like it is only really coming into its own properly now! Never have I ever wanted anything khaki in my wardrobe for fear of being mistaken as someone in the military but now, for the first time in my life, I desperately want a khaki jacket in my winter collection. I have had my eye on one from Asos Curve for a while now and I feel like this trend might stick around long enough for me to justify buying one!

Hell soldier!

Chunky Boots

I am well and truly on this bandwagon! I have just purchased my second pair of chunky boots! The first pair I bought at the end of last winter but I have bought a pair in the last week that I cannot wait to show you in an upcoming haul! These are also super practical for heels, especially in the colder weather when you may perhaps lose your footing more easily! Think heeled hiking boots!

Also, pair them with some cool socks to truly make a statement!

Coats

Coats for the cold? No kidding! I know this seems like a stupid one to include because lets be honest, coats are always trendy when its cold. But spice up your life a little by stepping out of your comfort zone and perhaps opting for a more interesting coat, experiment with styles and textures! Leather trims and details are your best friend this winter!

Layers

Another no brainer! When you can't get warm the answer is to put more clothes on! Include scarves and hats in your wardrobe to keep your  neck and ears warm to help fight of infectious illnesses! Be careful though, layering clothing can go very wrong, remember to keep a balance and if you aren't sure, take one thing off! Remember Coco Chanel!

Dark Lips

This trend has been seen all over in the colder months, especially on models for runway shows showcasing winter collections. Brights are typical for Spring and Summer but the cooler months require something a little more subdued but as equally bold as the brights. Berry coloured lipsticks come in so many different shades and tones that it is super easy to find one that matches your complexion. Just give it a go! You might be surprised!

Anyway, they are my tips for these upcoming cooler months. Give me a holla if there are any that you think are trends that I haven't written about and should definitely know about!

Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo
