I am sure you are aware that I posted my haul video for the month of August. If you weren't aware feel free to scroll down past this post if you would prefer to receive it audio-visually via video!
Anyway, lets get into the things I spoke about in that video!
City Chic Lace Neck Peplum Top
RRP : $79.95 - I paid $29.95 because I had a $50 voucher!
Basically this is a peplum top with a lace bodice and neck. These came out and were really popular more around last year but it seems that plus sizes don't get trendy clothing until after the fact apparently.
I wanted one of these so badly last year and couldn't find anything in my size except for one on Plus Size Fix and purchased it on there and paid more for postage than the product - the joys of living in ye olde land of Oz!
Anyway, this top looks fab with skirts and jeans - I try to wear it with my hair up to show off the lace but it doesn't have to be - classic and simple makeup is also what I would wear with this because I would want the lace to be the feature!
The fit on this is a little smaller than City Chic usually is, so I would recommend trying before buying - but City Chic has a pretty good refund and exchange policy anyway!
City Chic Stripe Jersey Dress
RRP : Around $120 Paid : $69.95
I know there is a negative stigma surrounding bigger girls wearing horizontal stripes, no surprises that I really don't care! This dress is super comfy and I am really excited about wearing it in spring and summer with a denim jacket and some nice sandals. It also has splits on the sides from about knee length - Watch the video to see - I show all of the items on in it!
A little baffled by the price though, I didn't pay for these so I didn't realise that this was actually the most expensive piece I got from City Chic and to be honest, I probably could of made it myself if I had some time on my hands!
Other than the price, I love it!
City Chic Mod Lace Top
RRP : Around $80 Sale : $40
Collar, check! Lace, check! Now mine, check!
I love collars, lace and most things black so of course I had to buy this. The loop for the button on the back was broken though so I had to get it repaired but they discounted it by a further $5 to make up for it.
I would of repaired it if I had time but I just took it in with a few other things that I needed to have fixed.
This is a little annoying under the arms, especially if you're like me and find that your arms get irritated when being constantly rubbed up against rough fabric! Its the worst, unfortunately one of the things you have to deal with sometimes. Fashion is pain, right?
City Chic Floral Jumpsuit
RRP : Around $120 Sale : $40
I never thought I would be one to like a jumpsuit but this is the first one I have ever tried on that I didn't feel like gave me the massive gut look! Also, my camel toe is kept to a minimum in this one! I find because of my height a lot of the time jumpsuits ride up on me and don't look all that attractive.
Another thing, this is actually an XS - Considering I normally wear a medium I was surprised that this fit me. I guess this jumpsuit is made to your size on the bottom (mine is a XS/S) not your top (mine is a M).
My sister was so jealous when this fit me because they only had XS left and she wanted one but her and I have the opposite body shapes where I am big up top and small below where she is the opposite so this didn't fit her legs.
One benefit of my body shape!
Schwarzkoph Extra Care Collagen & Keratin Leave-In
Big W - $7 Approximately
I bought this hoping that it would help in the manageability of my hair. As we all know, I had a terrible bleach fiasco which lead to lots of hair being cut off and was still quite damaged. After using this for a couple of weeks to try and avoid another haircut and I definitely felt a difference in terms of the feel of my hair but I think my hair was too far gone to avoid a cut. Hopefully this will help keep my hair in tip-top shape though!
If you're interested in this I would highly recommend, it did more for my hair than a lot of more expensive products did!
Manic Panic Pastelizer
RRP : $24.95
We all know what this is for and what it does from last month. Just to reiterate for those of you who don't know, this stuff is "glorified conditioner" which turns any Manic Panic into a pastel - or a more tame colour than what you get for Manic Panic! I am planning on re-doing my hair that lovely orange that I had!
Colorado Trench Boots
RRP : $150? Sale : $125
Technically I bought these boots last month, but I had already filmed last months haul video before I got these out of lay-by and if you want to get technical, these were from this month. See, I got my lay-by out and after 3 weeks the boots had begun to loose their stitching so I returned them because they were faulty and got a new pair.
All so complicated really!
Anyway, thats my haul for the month of August! I hope you enjoyed!
Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo
