July Haul... Sort Of!

Here is the accompanying blog post about the things I purchased in the month of July. I am trying to be a little better with my money at the moment so there isn't much and the majority of the stuff is hair related.. Hopefully that interests you to an extent, if not, this haul is probably not for you!

Haha.

New Look Crochet Panel Boots
RRP : $50 (Bought by my mum)

I already own a pair of lace up boots which I am sure you are aware of if you regularly read this blog. But I have worn them so much this winter that the stitching around the rivets for the laces has torn which means there is a hole where you can see the lining which isn't great for keeping my feet warm and dry. So I saw these while I was in Wollongong with my family mum was happy to buy them for me, so there you have it.

I have worn these and I really like them because they are quite wide which means I don't have an issue with them being tight around the width of my foot which is an issue I have with a lot of other boots. If you are looking for a nice pair of boots I would recommend - they were purchased at Payless Shoes!

Autograph Denim Dress
$30 Secondhand - From a Facebook buy & sell page

I saw this come up on my Facebook news feed and without really checking if it would fit I put sold on the post. I know Autograph sizes approximately and I already owned a few things by Autograph in this size so I assumed it would fit. I had been looking for a denim dress for so long but wasn't happy buying one that was more like a shirt than a dress.

This one is nearly knee length on me which is great, it was $30 and I picked it up to save myself the postage cost since it was nearby. I have since worn this in an OOTD, if you keep scrolling you will see it! I would highly recommend buying and selling pages, just make sure you use paypal to avoid any scams and make sure the person you are buying from has got a legitimate facebook page. It is most likely a scammer if they don't have many friends on their facebook or if they haven't had the account for very long.

Also, most buy and sell pages have people they know are scammers banned from the page!

Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique
$45 approximately - sold at most salons!

I purchased this in the vain hope that it would improve the texture, smoothness and condition of my hair. It is heat activated though which I feel pressures me to use heat on my hair and I don't know if its worth the use of heat.

It does smell nice and when I did blowdry and then straighten my hair it stayed straight for a long time but I haven't really noticed a change in the condition of my hair so far but I have heard other people swear by it - not sure if I will repurchase it! If you do use it, let me know what you think! How long did it take you to notice an effect (if you did)?

Bedhead by TIGI - Hi Def Curls Tween Duo
$45 at Price Attack

This has been my go-to shampoo and conditioner for a while. It smells amazing which is what drew me to it in the first place and I find that these bottles last me around 10 months - although I go through conditioner so much quicker than the shampoo (about twice as fast) which is unfortunate because I already have a bottle of shampoo under the sink but to but just the conditioner is around $35 online so I just bought both.

This stuff is also sulfate-free, important for all of you curlies out there because it doesn't dry your hair out as much by stripping the oils from your hair. It still makes my hair feel clean though! Although I don't really have curly hair, I used to and it definitely is dry and frizzy so this stuff has made a big difference!

Manic Panic - Wildfire
$24.95 from Hairhouse Warehouse

I was bored with my hair colour and decided I wanted a change. I wanted strawberry blonde and I saw a YouTube video that was after the same thing and she used a tub of pastelizer and half a tub of wildfire, so I went for it. Its been two weeks and it has faded a little but I am still loving it.

If you would like to see the video I used for reference click here!

At first it was very orange, especially in the much blonder bits of my hair but it isn't as bright now but is still obviously orange/strawberry blonde! I am in love with it! I have also been complimented on how natural it looks now from my hairdresser at home - when I filmed the video it was a day old though, so not so natural looking.

Next time I dye it I will probably log the colour fade through pictures each week after I wash it just for reference!

Anyway, that is what I purchased in the month of July.. I hope it was somewhat enjoyable for you to read or watch (if you watched the video)! My August haul is already shaping up to be a good one!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo
