This morning I had a meeting with the HR department at my work about the issues I have been having at work, they were super supportive of me and my boss was actually quite shocked that this had been going on for a while without anyone else realising. I have been given some options on how to proceed.. Once I was done with that I went back home with the intention of getting some proper sleep before going to work that afternoon but that wasn't to be the case.
First, I went to help out with creche at ESL classes run at the college I live at. I then had lunch with some people from that including little Josiah and Annie. While we were eating, Annie climbed up onto the lecturn which then fell and landed on Josiah.. He was shocked, at first I thought he was unconscious and while an ambulance was called Cathie held him and tried to soothe him while I held pressure on a split on his head while immobilising his neck like the ambo's had told us to do on the phone. The poor thing was distraught but I felt that keeping his Mum calm was also something I needed to do, she felt guilty and I explained to her that things happen, most children have injuries like this but kids are resilient little things. After they were off to hospital I got some things together for her husband to take up to the hospital, all is well though. Josiah has some stitches, it looked much worse than it was (head wounds tend to look much worse because the skin separates) and little Josiah seemed himself when I visited him at home after work... He will have a headache tomorrow I'm sure!
But alas, no nap. By the time all of that was over I had about half an hour before I needed to get ready for work.. My shift tonight was really good, the lady I am having issues with wasn't working, It was the first time in a while where I have enjoyed my time at work without feeling intimidated and isolated!
In other news, my Mum is visiting me tomorrow for the day! I am really excited to get some time with her by myself instead of having my sister constantly hovering. My sister is visiting me on Saturday though which could be interesting.
Top : New Look Inspire
Belt : Asos Curve (it snapped today! One of the belt holes just gave up)
Skirt : Cotton On
I felt oh so professional. I want to work somewhere where I can wear my own clothes instead of a uniform just so I can wear cutesy clothes like this!
Anyway, I hope your day was not as stressful as mine was!
Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo
