January was a very busy month for me.. I continued on with Summer School at uni, went back to work and helped out at a kids club for a week. While doing all of this I was still inspecting potential houses and doing all the stuff people do to keep alive as well as having some down time and moving rooms at college.. Whoa, lots of things were done! I am tired just thinking about it.
I also had my first haircut since the middle of last year, yay for small victories! It was in good need of a cut.
I have five favourite outfits from this month, mostly with items of clothing that I purchased after christmas which you can see in my after Christmas haul part I and II, go have a look if you haven't already!
19th January, 2014
Top : City Chic
Shorts : Jeanswest
I feel like this top is featured on my blog a lot (as are the shorts) but I absolutely love both of these items. Unfortunately my shorts are beginning to fall apart and I am constantly patching them until I find a replacement that I like... Hopefully patching and putting iron on patches on the inner thigh will help them live a little longer! Fingers crossed, I am not looking forward to needing a replacement, I find shorts really difficult to find because I don't like super short shorts..
21st January, 2014
Top : New Look Inspire
Jumper : Autograph
Shorts : Jeanswest
The foil heart shirt was a new addition to my collection after collection and although I was a little put off by how short it was at first I have enjoyed incorporating it into my wardrobe (well, part thereof)..
25th January, 2014
Dress : City Chic
Shawl : Crossroads
Perhaps one of the more adventurous outfits I have ever put together but I felt super bohemian in this, all I needed was a floppy hat and some big sunglasses! Love it!
27th January, 2014
Top : New Look Inspire
Belt : City Chic
Shorts : Jeanswest
One of my favourite, if not my favourite, purchases after christmas. I love the cut of the top, the way it looks with the belt and I especially love the amazing crochet collar!
Ahh, I wish I found it easier to find cute collared tops in my size!
28th January, 2014
Dress : New Look Inspire
Another favourite from my shopping escapades after christmas, such a flattering dress even when it looks super tent-like at first.. Looks nice with a belt too, such a versatile piece, can be worn by itself or with tights for the cooler months. I am also surprised, it is a perfect length, well, unless I lift my arms which it then rides up, could be potentially embarrassing but I am super careful about not lifting my arms too much in this or I wear an underskirt under it... Duh, underskirt under? No way!
Anyway, I hope you all had a good January! I really hope February is nice to you all as well!
Happy Blogging my Lovelies xo
