OOTD Fail : 31st December, 2013 - New Years Eve

So today is New Years Eve and while everyone is going out I have stayed cooped up pretty much all day. I did quite a bit of packing this morning, have hired some removalists and haven’t really done much else today..

At the beginning of this year I decided to write down some good (and not so good) memories and put them in a jar, there ones are my favourites :

- The numerous times we played Ikea tetris and all the laughs that involved.

- Putting my friend Kiri to bed when she fell asleep while another friend and I were visiting her.

- Singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the dinner table at college.

- My mum beginning her sentence with “well the lady that waxes my vagina …” and dads reaction to it.

- My drink friend wanting an apple pie from McDonalds “I want one of those apple thingies with apple in it.”

There were so many other good times I had this year, one of them being this blog.

OOTD Fail : 30th December, 2013 - 2013 in Outfits

Today has just been spent hanging out with a friend while he worked and then I came home and had a nap to prepare myself for the long night of packing that is ahead of me. I also realised tonight that I have an assignment to do that is due on the 8th which means that between packing, moving, preparing for class and going back to work (probably) I also have to manage to get an assignment done. No pressure!

Last night I also made a 2013 in outfits video for you guys, the outfits are from when I started my blog up until yesterdays outfits. Apologies for the sub-par photo quality, I really hope to get a dslr soon to help with that.

OOTD : 29th December, 2013 - Lazy Day

Today I stayed in bed until the afternoon, just browsing and stuff, showered at 5pm and then went down the hall to dinner with the Sandifer's because they invited me. That was good fun, played with the kids and then had a nice chatty dinner. Tomorrow I have to get my boxes back because they were confiscated from outside my room and locked in a storeroom that no one but a staff member can get into which means I have missed out on five days of packing, seriously, so annoyed.

I think it may be time to rename my blog to 'fat, unfashionable, fabulous' because some days it feels like I put very little effort into the fashionable part. Although I was complimented on my shirt today.

OOTD : 28th December, 2013 - Decisions

Today we attempted to head into the city on the rivercat but it kept getting filled up before we got on it so we just got on a train instead. I also looked at another place today, its lovely except the landlord lives downstairs and is really pedantic about how things are in the flat. He doesn't want me having a desk in my room because he doesn't want the floors marked which I think was the final nail in the coffin for that place. Although I did love that it was much, much  closer to uni and work..

Since then, I visited the kids down the end of the hall which was lots of fun and I have had a nap and will probably go back to sleep straight after I finish writing this post... ahh, hard life.

OOTD : 27th December, 2013 - Spontaneous

This morning my mum, sister, brother and my brother's girlfriend came down to Sydney to spend the night. It was a very last minute decision on their part but so far it has been alright, well, apart from the couple of tantrums from my sister... 

We spent the afternoon at Ikea and then a few hours by the pool and had dinner really late at about 10pm. I have to meet them at their hotel at 9am for breakfast so I really need to get to sleep soon so I am going to leave this post short and sweet.

OOTD : 26th December, 2013 - Boxing Day Sale Madness

So today I decided to get a train into the city for the Boxing Day sales for the first (and probably last) time of my life. Let me tell you, it was not worth the crowds for the measly savings and still then, some stuff wasn't even discounted. I was so frustrated by the whole experience that I have made a video with some tips which is processing on YouTube as I write this so once it is uploaded I will post it on here too.

After I got back I was pretty tired, I filmed a video and then went to bed at 6pm and woke up just before 9pm. I really need to stop taking early evening naps, I will probably be up all night now.. Anyway, moving on from that.

OOTD : 25th December, 2013 - Christmas Day

I had a super good sleep last night back in my college room and am feeling much better, still a little congested but otherwise feeling really good. This morning I got up and got dressed but I had to change because although it is super rainy in Sydney, it is still pretty warm and humid. 

I also went to s Christmas lunch with people from the church attached to my college which was nice but I can safely say that I have had enough Christmas food until next year! What did you all do for Christmas? Get anything super exciting?

My first outfit was all City Chic and was nice in theory, I forgot how warm and stuffy it still was though and had to change.

A much more weather appropriate outfit, it still got a little warm though so the cardigan was not a permanent fixture. I did get into my pyjamas when lunch finished though and since then I have just been browsing and napping, one of my favourite Christmases thus far!

OOTD : 24th December, 2013 - Christmas Eve

Today was just spent lazing around the house and grocery shopping with mum. It really freaks mum out that the shops will be closed for two days so she tends to over-prepare to make sure she wont run out of anything.

Other than that, I am still sick. We had a baked dinner and I drove back to Sydney to be at college. I have so much packing and uni work to do so I thought I would head back before holiday traffic got crazy, anyway, we did the Christmas thing on Saturday anyway.

OOTD : 23rd December, 2013 - Sinus Fun Times

So this morning I woke up super hot and sweaty with a blocked nose. Today was super hot and my sinuses progressively got more blocked and more painful so now when I am writing this I am super drugged up to get to sleep tonight without too much trouble. I knew as soon as I relaxed I would get sick! 

Today in Newcastle was super hot with a hot wind so my sister and I went to the shops... Two days before Christmas? Yep, we are definitely the stupidest people in the world, although, we did get super lucky and managed to snag a free park straight away instead of having to pay. Cheers to that! Afterwards we drove around the beaches, it is super nice to have the beach so close again as opposed to being a forty minute trip there and then forty minutes back, minimum. I also had to go to Centrelink because my payment was cut off which was also buckets of fun, as always!

After dinner it was still super hot so my sister and I went for a swim and then went and got ice-cream and let me tell you, my eyes are too big for my belly. I got an ice-cream that I only ate a quarter of so the rest of it is currently staying cool in the freezer. Its now 10pm and the cold wind has finally hit and I couldn't be more thankful, my face hurts! Anyone who has ever had issues with their sinuses would know what I meant.

Anyway, now I am just sitting in my armchair at home waiting for mum to return from work..

OOTD : 22nd December, 2013 - Back to Newcastle

Today was just a lazy day. Got out of bed at about lunch time, had leftovers for lunch at Nan's and then headed to the shops for a casual stroll and then went and saw my cousins for a little bit. One of my cousins was so aggressive though because his mother doesn't give him any attention or feed him properly, he probably hadn't had anything to eat all day and we did have a late night, last night.

So nice to be back in Newcastle though. Its nice to just sit in silence, ahh so serene. Don't have my Pop talking even though no one is listening or the cousins playing. Also, nice to not have my Aunt complaining about how much she dislikes her children and how doing anything is just way too difficult.

Ahh Christmas... One time is enough to make you not want to see family until the next year, if then.

OOTD : 21st December, 2013 - Early Christmas Carnival

This morning my Mum, Sister, Brother, his Girlfriend, my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins all went to the beach for two hours in the morning. Let me tell you, the Australian sun is super intense in December, which is only the first month of Summer. I sure hope it doesn't get much hotter, I don't know how much more I can take! After putting a massive puncture into my float and roasting my skin (although you wouldn't know it now, my skin was just red from being hot) we went back to my Nan's for an early Christmas where my Pop drove everyone nuts, as usual. The man never stops talking even though no-one is listening to him, its like background noise. Does any family manage to actually get along for the whole of Christmas because today was pretty rocky... Anyway, moving on from the family disfunction.

For Christmas I got sheets and towels. Now I know there is sure to be some really hilarious jokes about receiving manchester as a gift but I really needed them since I don't have the right size sheets for my new place and my towels are looking a little, alright, a lot sad!

After a late lunch I took my cousins home to get bathed and then to the little local carnival for a few hours and then looking at lights in the neighbourhood.

I am not going to put my swimmers up today, again. You've seen your fair share of those swimmers in the last two weeks!

OOTD : 20th December, 2013 - Beachy Keen

This morning I went to the beach with my Mum and my sister. Too hot outside but way too cold in the water, I couldn't win. Afterwards we went to the main streets for a little window shopping and lunch and then went back to nans for showers before picking my cousins up from daycare and after school care. 

Let me tell you, I am so exhausted. The sun has really taking it out of me, well, that and the super sleepless night last night.

OOTD : 19th December, 2013 - Travelling

Today has been a day of travel. Two hours in my car from Sydney to Newcastle and then another two from Newcastle to Forster in Mums car. Thankfully Mum's car has cruise control which lead to a very relaxing trip because I pretty much just had to make sure that the car didn't veer off the road.

Hopefully the next few days are going to be spent on the beach. Fingers crossed.

OOTD : 18th December, 2013 - Packing Nightmare

I just wrote a long post and was super happy with it and when I went to upload pictures, Blogger glitched and I lost my post. Sad days! I will try to redeem myself with a similar post.

Today I had a three hour class and decided that I really needed to start packing some of my room up since I will be going home to Newcastle tomorrow and then to Forster and need to take stuff I don't need or am unsure about before I move. It will mean less that I have to pack and move if I leave it there. I know that leaving things in Newcastle will more than likely lead to my Mum appointing herself to be the one to throw it out to help me escape my hoarder tendencies which makes me sad. Hopefully she can control herself this time and refrain from throwing anything out. I am doing a good enough job of culling stuff myself! Well, at leas from my perspective I am. Throwing things out is something I don't do very often and being able to do it with no one telling me I have to is a very rare thing!

Anyway, since tomorrow I am going home and to Forster for the Christmas and New Year period and then moving on the 5th of January, I am not sure how regular posts are going to be on here. I really hope they stay daily but I am unsure if I will have proper internet connection in Forster or if I will have time to sit down and write posts for you guys... Taking the photos is one thing but finding time to write about what has been happening is another thing, maybe it will just be very short posts or unedited vlogs for you. We shall see!

Anyway, technically this outfit was not from today. Today has been spent in my denim shorts and a singlet because packing is sweaty work and I would rather not photograph me in all my hotness (literally) right now even though its 11pm. Tonight I still need to pack for tomorrow and will hopefully get more boxes packed. But for now I leave you with this OOTD technically not from today, so what would you call that? OONT? Outfit of Not Today?
