This morning, or should I say this afternoon, I stayed in bed until about 1pm and then got up, showered and begun the big clean of my room. Six hours later and I still have about half of the cleaning left to go, just putting washing away and cleaning my kitchenette. Hopefully I will finish it tonight. If not, it will definitely be done on Sunday because I am working all day tomorrow.
Yesterday I went and had a look around the area of the place I am looking at on Sunday morning and I can say that I love it and I really hope it works out.. It is so peaceful and community spirited, I have fallen in love! The travel time is a bit of a downer but I think it will help me keep good routine if I have to get up a little bit earlier to get places on time.
Also, I went out last night with some "friends". I use the term friends very loosely because I don't really consider us to be good friends, I would say more acquaintances. It did remind me why I prefer to stay in my room by myself though. I have never felt so un-included in my life, conversations I had no idea about and I kept getting spoken over. Also, they all walked together linking arms and I was the awkward person just walking behind them. Note to self, when invited to an event again, just say no and stay happy in your own company. I felt like I was back in high school by some of the conversations that were had. I did see someone I used to work with though and a complete stranger complimented my "natural" red-headedness which made my night..
