OOTD : 29th September, 2014 - Furniture

Today my sister went off to her first day of full-time work and mum and I went shopping for some furniture. Yep, shopping again! I needed to get a desk, bookshelf and desk chair and mum wanted (well, I wanted) some orange stools for the breakfast bar!

Shopping literally took all day, and then I came back and put my furniture together which was an effort in itself - this led to me being a tired little person come evening!

My dad also called and is coming to stay with us for a night or so between jobs and should be arriving late tonight or very early tomorrow morning depending on what time his plane comes in and whether the drive from Newcastle is smooth!

Also, Sydney decided to massively turn on the heat today! It was so stinkin' hot! I am not looking forward to summer!

OOTD : 28th September, 2014 - Shopping Again!

Today we had to get some groceries and stuff so headed back down to the shops, we seem to be spending a lot of time there lately! Anyway, my sister needed a new phone and somehow we both ended up getting new the new iPhone 6! I don't get mine until the beginning of the week though because I wanted a space grey one and they didn't have any in stock!

After that we just headed back on home to continue unpacking! I mean, excitement, really! I am also sanding down our table setting to re-stain it! Its a real bitch!

I am pretty sure I got sanding dust in my eyes because I got in the bath to get it all off me and my eyes were burning! Not the best way to have it, I probably should of worn some sort of eye protection!

OOTD : 27th September, 2014 - Settling In

Today was the first full day that my mum and sister had at the house. My sister and I ran errands for most of the day though while mum got stuff around the house into a bit more order. The first thing that needed to be done was the kitchen, so we could eat, and my sisters room because she starts work on Monday and we decided that having her settled was pretty important! Especially because I am currently on holidays (although I have enough uni work to do that it hardly is!) and mum is off work until she wants to start!

So really, we have lots of time to sort ourselves out!

The fact we haven't wanted to kill each other yet has really surprised me though - so far, so good! My sister and I even managed to fit a swim in, before I ceremoniously locked my keys in the pool area and had to get someone to let me in to collect them, DOH!

I also had to walk my mum and sister into the carpark while carrying a 9 foot 2 inch surfboard wearing shorts that are way too big - guess how that ended! With a delightful full moon! Ha!

OOTD : 26th September, 2014 - Today Is The Day!

Today the removalists got here at around 9:30am and began moving my mum and sisters stuff from the home in Newcastle. I had to stay around the house for that and direct them where to put things, just as they left and I sat down to relax the doorbell rang and our new washing machine was delivered.

I began unpacking a couple of things and then set up the washing machine and strung up a clothesline before I pretty much had to get ready to go out for dinner.

Dinner was at college for the Annual Alumni Association - I only went because one of my friends RSVP'ed, otherwise I probably wouldn't of bothered. It was nice to see some people but the meal was super oily and made me feel super sick!

Blergh.

Anyway, once I got back from that my mum and sister still hadn't arrived. The got here at around 10:30 and pretty much went straight to bed because they had just been packing and running errands like crazy to get on the road!

OOTD : 25th September, 2014 - Pool Times

Today I had to go to uni for a meeting in regards to my prac component that I am completing this semester. The weather was weird though, when I left home it was sunny and warm and then about half an hour later it was pouring with rain, it came from nowhere. Although, it was still pretty warm, but really humid and sticky - not nice!

After uni I went and picked up the girls I was living with and brought them over to my new place for a swim! We spent a couple of hours swimming and when I dropped them home we were all so tired that the lady I lived with offered to buy some take-out for dinner and have me stay which was nice.. Considering that I didn't have anything to cook for myself, or anything to cook with thai take-out seemed like a much nicer option than McDonalds, which was my original plan!

The chlorine made my hair feel pretty gross though so after dinner I came home and gave my hair a good wash - I need to be super careful with it now since it was lightened on the ends because I don't want green hair and I don't want to lose anymore length!

OOTD : 24th September, 2014 - Back to Sydney

Today we got up and lulled about until the afternoon when we headed down to Sydney for my sisters work meeting and where I would be staying! I left the house in Newcastle for the last time and it felt so good!

While my sister was at her work meeting (she got the train, big achievement for her!) mum and I organised some bits and bobs in my room so I could live like a relatively normal human being - without a fridge, tv, microwave or anything really.. It was sort of like camping, but much more comfortable since I had an actual bed and an actual roof over my head!

Anway, once they left back for Newcastle I got stuck into my uni work and managed to get it done pretty quickly and rewarded myself with the most magical bath ever! I don't know if it was magical because I hadn't had one in so long or because I was super irritable after getting my assignment done, but moral to the story is that it was great!

It is finally beginning to get warm enough to break free of the winter clothes, something that makes me a little sad to be honest! I love my layers and boots!

OOTD : 23rd September, 2014 - Failing

Today I got ready to seriously buckle down and attempt to get my uni assignment done. I printed some articles and read and summarised them to then not actually understand what I was supposed to be doing. Read the rubric again and I still had no idea! I ended up looking at the unit guide and reading super slowly to realise that I had to be using particular subsets of theories and thats when it all began to make sense.

So I had to redo all of my research, bummer!

Anyway, I killed a few trees printing articles because I cannot read and summarise them on a computer because (a) I can't concentrate and (b) it hurts my eyes eventually! 

I also got ready to head back to Sydney tomorrow because my sister has a work meeting tomorrow and I have to be back on Thursday for a uni meeting so I am staying in the new place by myself from Wednesday until when my mum and sister return on Friday, it should be interesting!

OOTD : 22nd September, 2014 - Errands

Today was 7/11 BYO cup day for a start! Because we live across the road from a 7/11 my sister and I went over early with our 2.5 litre jugs to fill - Technically it was my breakfast... I didn't finish it though so theres that. 

Anyway, we spent most of the day cleaning stuff out and running errands to tie up loose ends. I ended up getting massively sunburnt thanks to being in the car for a good portion of the day and because my clothing offered very little sun protection, my bad!

I also had to begin a uni assignment that is due on the 26th, and because I have to go to the new house in a couple of days I really need to get the research part done ASAP because I wont have internet for the two and a bit days I have before its due.

OOTD : 21st September, 2014 - Post-Moving Organisation

This morning I got up (after a very cold and uncomfortable sleep on an air mattress because I offered my bed to my mum and sister!) and we had to go to the Central Coast because my sister had a dress fitting because she is in the wedding party for her friends wedding in December. While she was there mum and I went shopping and looked at fridges and washing machines. 

Once we got back to Sydney mum and I got stuck into organising my room and wardrobe so she could bring the boxes back to Newcastle for herself to use. I cannot buy anymore clothes unless I get rid of some because my wardrobe is literally full! While mum and I organised my room my sister hung at the pool and spa. Boo!

Anyway, we headed back to Newcastle in the evening. Got back, my dad is home and we just watched some television and I am up watching a movie while everyone is in bed. I also need to get an assignment done while I am here because I wont have internet when I go back to Sydney on Wednesday until my mum and sister move in on Friday.

I also think my dad is moving with us too, since at the moment he is between jobs.

My sisters OOTD is supplied courtesy of my wardrobe so I thought it would only be right to show it on here!

OOTD : 20th September, 2014 - Moving Day

Today I got up and had to finish packing some last minute stuff. I got the keys, went to the new place and freaked out about it being a bit smaller than I originally thought then went back to the place I was staying. Mum arrived and the movers arrived soon after! 

The move went pretty smoothly - I didn't vlog any of it though (whoops!) and afterwards we went out for dinner with the people I was living with.

Anyway, my mum and sister decided to stay the night instead of heading back to Sydney so they could help me get better organised tomorrow!

This is in my mums room, the main bedroom! I decided to do take the second bedroom, its a little small, but anything would be small compared to what I was living in, its cosy!

Anyway, I wish I had remembered to vlog more of today! There is going to be a massive gap in footage from the move, because as I post this it is actually 10pm on the 21st and I am back in Newcastle until Wednesday to assist my mum with packing up the house!

OOTD : 19th September, 2014 - Preparation & Parties

Today I continued getting ready to move, as I am sure you would of guessed! Since moving day is tomorrow, this will probably be the last OOTD post that is somewhat on time... I will try my hardest to keep posts regular but I am not going to have internet for the week until my mum and sister arrive, I will try to go to the uni and use their wifi, especially because I have an assignment due on Friday so I will be spending time there this week!

Also, I have been vlogging this moving adventure and will probably upload it once the move is over and I am settled in - It will probably be a long vlog though, currently its at about half an hour of footage!

Today I also drove out to Wet n Wild to get mine and my sisters season passes, they didn't tell me that pick-up was only between 3pm and 5pm though because I drove out there at 10am like a dickhead and wasted two hours of my life. I didn't go back later either because I had stuff to do and there was a football game on and there was no way I was subjecting myself to that gridlock!

Later tonight I also went to the Quarter Acre Block Party which was the opening party for Art and About Sydney. It was alright, went with a group of people. Came home smelling like smoke though, gross! My hair stinks! Also, I stupidly wore my coat that is dry-clean only and now it reeks of smoke!

OOTD : 18th September, 2014 - Packing

Today I had creche in the morning, as usual. It was good, the kids were super well behaved which made my life so much easier, apart from the one year old who dove into a tray of bubble mix.. Haha. 

After I got back from that I had to really get stuck into the packing - I got some done, most of my stuff is packed I just have a few bits and bobs left like my bathroom stuff and the rest of my bookshelf - Blergh, those things will get done... Eventually!

OOTD : 17th September, 2014 - Damn You Kim Kardashian

So late last night I couldn't sleep and the Kim Kardashian game was one of the top-rated apps on the iTunes store and I was stupid enough to start playing it... And now I am finding if difficult to not play, not only that, but I actually paid for power-ups and shit! Someone needs to ban this sort of shit from my possession!

Anyway, other than that I also renewed my season pass for Wet 'n' Wild and had class from four until five. I also have started to pack, but I still have a lot to do! Will most likely be moving on Saturday, eek, thats only a couple of days away!

The lady I live with has asked me to look after the kids three afternoons a week though so she can get back into regular exercise and stuff so I will still get to see them pretty often which will be nice!

I then got bored this evening so decided to use my deep-waver to do my hair - It will have fallen out a bit by the morning so the creases where it starts should be less noticeable! I love this thing though, gives me the beachy-mermaid texture I love - If only it was no heat!

OOTD : 16th September, 2013 - Unexplainable

Today I wasn't feeling all that well so I just hung around at home until the afternoon and slowly got myself ready to go out tonight. I didn't sleep very well because the neighbours baby screamed all night, fun! I have this feeling in my chest, I can't explain it - I don't know if its a depressive symptom or what not but I can't really articulate how it feels.. Sort of like I have a knot in my stomach but its sitting up in my chest, I don't know.

Anyway, I went to trivia tonight which I usually find is the highlight of my week but this week was the first week where I felt super disengaged and lonely. I know its probably just me but I can't help but feel on the outer and theres nothing worse than the feeling of being lonely when you're surrounded by people. 

Other then that, I just watched Home and Away and bawled like a baby! It was so sad! Then I watched Winners and Losers which was also really emotional.
