OOTD : 28th February, 2014 - Last Day Of Summer

I find it quite weird to think that today is the last day of summer considering that for the last couple of weeks it has rained on and off! So not fun, I am excited for some cooler weather, although I would of liked a little more time to use the pool!

The one thing I really dislike about the cold though is how my bones ache! Today was pretty cool and I spent a one hour car trip in agony because my joints get super sore when its cold! Anyway…

Today I met mum in Tuggerah which is pretty much bang on the middle of us. We did some damage at the shops and then went to an indoor pool for some much needed spa time. We said goodbye to each other at about 4pm and I came back home, watched some television, had Lucky Charms for dinner (how delicious) and have just spent the last hour or so finally sorting through the box of stuff in my bathroom! It is finally done, I just need to unpack my winter clothes and shoes and I am pretty much all unpacked! I think I will feel much more relaxed and settled once all my stuff is unpacked! I thought I was going to be that person (we all know one) who moves and then never fully unpacks!

I am interested to see what winter clothes I kept and whether there will be any surprises in those boxes!

OOTD : 27th February, 2014 - Nap Time

Today I helped out at English classes by looking after the children in the creche and setting up morning tea. Afterwards I dropped $300 on a parking permit for uni and then came back home for a bit of relaxing. No one was home so I had a nap, it was amazing, but it means that I probably won't sleep very well tonight…

After my nap I went to college and visited Cathie and the kids, gave Josiah his dinner and then went to the shops for some milk where I bought another pair of boots! I had tried them on earlier this week and didn't get them but after thinking about it I decided to get them.

I also got a call from my boss today saying I wasn't needed at work this weekend or next weekend so other than being super poor for the next month or so I should be super rested and prepared for the semester of uni that starts on Monday. 

Tomorrow I am meeting my mum in the Central Coast and we are going to spend some good quality time together but for now I really need to shower and wash my hair!

OOTD : 26th February, 2014 - Exhausted

Today I went to college in the afternoon to join in on some of the O-Week shenanigans and just stuck around because I had bible study there this evening and it seemed pointless to leave just to come back in an hour or so. To kill time I went shopping, may or may not have bought another item from City Chic! I really need to do a haul for you guys soon!

Also, I am so tired. I have not stopped since I moved house, partly because I still feel a little awkward in this house and therefore go out but because I also have a lot of things going on around this time of the year anyway. Mix the busy with not much sleep and you have a problem! Fingers crossed I get some good sleep tonight!

Also, I got a phone call from my Mum tonight about going to Brisbane to see my Dad for his birthday next weekend and I am torn. If I stay in Sydney I can go to work and make $300 but if I go to Brisbane there is the potential that I will have a massive panic attack on the plane and will be flying by myself.. But I will get to see my family. And then there are technicalities such as getting back in time for uni on the Monday and getting to the airport now that I don't live across from the train station etc.

Thoughts anyone?

OOTD : 25th February, 2014 - Cancelled

This morning I went to playgroup to discover it had been cancelled because quite a few of the children and their mothers who run playgroup were sick. So I went to breakfast at college with one of the families there and then drove out to Chatswood to wait for a friend to finish work.

While she worked I did a little shopping and also looked at the Canon 70D again to make sure it was the camera I definitely wanted and it has just confirmed it for me, especially because I had the opportunity to be hands on with it! 

I then went to DFO with my friend and then drove to Campbeltown to go to the City Chic outlet! My bank balance desperately regrets this decision, I don't though!

I am sure there will be a haul for you soon! First I have to survive my Mother coming down and potentially seeing my new purchases!

Anyway, I had a massively long day, it was awesome though! Well, until the internet decided to be temperamental as soon as I went to write this post.. Go figure!

OOTD : 24th February, 2014 - Sunsets

While driving home to Sydney this evening I realised how I don't appreciate the beauty of the world around me a lot of the time. I guess I am so worried about where I am going and what I am supposed to be doing that I don't stop and just take it all in. The sunset while I was driving was beautiful and as I descended onto the motorway the sun was behind a mountain and the orange glow around it was lovely!

Other than drive back to Sydney today I didn't really do anything else. Today was just spent waiting for Mum to get home so we could have dinner together before I left. I had a pretty rough night, was up most of the night sick from eating meat last night and I was still feeling a little worse for wear today! After dinner I was feeling especially gross and was contemplating staying in Newcastle another night to try and get my stomach to settle, but I went, and it was fine!

Also, while I was home I got lots of washing done and now have a quilt on my bed, it looks divine! I have nearly fully organised myself, only the winter portion of my wardrobe (which I won't do until closer to winter) and my bathroom (which will be done this week)… I have been living in this house for more than a week, whoa. Time flies!

OOTD Fail : 23rd February, 2014 - Anxiety

Today I played with my cousins. We had a little party for my sister and then we came home. Later on I went out to dinner with a friend and decided to have beef for dinner. What happens when you give someone beef who hasn't eaten it in months? Not much fun, thats what. Feeling pretty gross to be honest which makes me feel a little anxious.

Anyway, I got into my pyjamas before I managed to take a photo… Sorry!

This morning, well closer to this afternoon, I drove up to Forster to see my cousins! For the most part they have been super well behaved but as bed time loomed they got naughtier and naughtier!

Anyway, other than that its been a pretty uneventful day! I didn't drink last night but I am feeling like what I imagine a hangover would feel like! Other than that, I have nothing else to update you on..

OOTD : 21st February, 2014 - Party Time

This morning I got up, went to Centrelink (which was a hoot, as usual) and returned home to make my sisters cake for her birthday party. At one point I thought that it wasn't going to happen but it did and everybody loved and ate it!

The party was good, there were a few people that were quite late and two people that had said they were coming and they didn't even send a text to say they weren't coming, talk about rude! In the end we did have a good group of people and it was lots of fun!

The cake once it was made! Looks amazing, tasted even more amazing!

OOTD : 20th February, 2014 - To My Sister

Happy 21st Birthday to you Laura! I hope this year is as exciting as the last!

Today is my sisters birthday and I have made the trip to Newcastle for her party tomorrow night. Also because I desperately needed to do some washing and Mum has a dryer. I have been left with the task of making the cake and she wants a round cake with purple ombre roses piped onto it so this afternoon I made the white chocolate buttercream… It is sickening, half butter half chocolate melted down, cooled and then whipped the next day until it is the consistency of buttercream. I think its going to be delicious though, I will be sure to post photos of my handiwork with tomorrows outfit, or at least the next days!

Anyway, other than that nothing else really happened today except for helping out with a creche.. Oh, and getting sunburnt while driving, typical the first day I really cannot wash its sunny!

OOTD : 19th February, 2014 - Unpacked?

Today I feel like I have finally got myself organised, I thought that I was going to be living in squalor for the rest of my days in this house but other than my bathroom, all is organised and good! After finishing the majority of organising I went for a swim because I was super sweaty (ewww) and as soon as I got out of the pool it poured rain…

I ran some errands this afternoon and cooked dinner. Then the girls got home and wanted to play so we just drew together and stuff (well, they did) and I packed for my trip back to Newcastle tomorrow. Because it has been raining here pretty much non-stop since I moved, I have so much washing that I am taking home to do, especially my new sheets and stuff!

Went to bible study tonight, which went much later than I expected but I managed to rock Josiah to sleep and get him into bed without waking much to the delight of his parents.. He isn't very well and hasn't been sleeping very well, fingers crossed for them that they get a good nights sleep tonight, I am sure a good sleep will also help in terms of his illness greatly!

I feel like this day was super jam packed but I still managed to find time to watch some television, I wish all days were like this instead of having tonnes of uni work to do because I actually feel like a proper member of society at the moment.. Albeit a very poor member of society! Have been rationing my money and only have $30 which will be used to get fuel tomorrow and then I will have nothing until next Thursday. Happy days!

OOTD : 18th February, 2014 - Internet Troubles

Today I went to playgroup, came back home and did absolutely nothing and then went back to college for dinner, checked out (insert sad face here) and met up with a friend in Chatswood where I stayed until well past 10pm. Just got back, felt like a snoop trying to find the internet router to restart it to hopefully make the internet work better.

I don't know if its their internet connection or my laptop but it cuts in and out constantly and I don't know what to do! It is getting to the point where it takes me up to an hour to actually get the internet running and keeping a stable connection, hence why this post is so late! I started writing it at ten-past eleven and now it is ten-to-twelve.. Not fun at all!

Also, I bought earplugs last night and they worked a treat! I did not hear a thing this morning, what a great thing!

Also, I realised today (well, earlier than today) that I need a full length mirror desperately! Only thing is that I don't have money to buy a mirror at the moment but I realise that that will make taking proper outfit pictures very difficult unless I begin to use my timer and lack of skills… Bear with me please!

OOTD : 17th February, 2014 - Ups And Downs

Today was super busy. First I had to go to Hornsby to get my Macbook looked at because the power cord kept shorting out my laptop, good thing it was an issue with the cord and not the actual laptop. I then picked up a friend nearby, put the rest of my furniture together, went for a swim and then dropped her home. I went to college for dinner and then had to get some things from Kmart in Chatswood which is where all the fun began.

First I dropped my phone down the side of the seat of my car which lead to the biggest unravelling of my life. As I was grabbing my phone my car keys fell onto the floor from my lap and my wallet fell out of my bag. I locked the car and went off to get my things only to realise at the checkout that I didn't have my wallet and thinking it was at home would return later. Well, I couldn't find my car keys so after a call to the NRMA I had my car broken into by them so I could get my wallet and keys.

I was so tired after all this that I was worried I was going to fall asleep at the wheel while I was driving home. The girls were so excited to see me when I got home though, this place is beginning to feel more like home now, especially because I am now beginning to get organised and unpack my belongings properly.

Still a little awkward in the kitchen though…

Also, this was all after a very sleepless night and then being woken early this morning by two girls excited about going to school, so I also bought some earplugs while I was out! And they're going to be up in less than eight hours, eek.

OOTD : 16th February, 2014 - The Most Awkward Day

I have been in my new place for approximately 29 hours now and it is super awkward at the moment. I am hoping the awkwardness passes but I feel like a kid sleeping at a friends house and you get into the shower and have no idea how it works sort of awkward. Also, the lady who lives here has her Mum here from India at the moment so she is always home! Not my favourite!

And as I write this the husband and wife are fighting in the kitchen.. I am so hungry because I feel awkward going into the kitchen to get food while they're around, I like to call it the Sharehouse Surprise Diet!

Another thing, everytime I plug my power cord into my Macbook it shuts off straight away. This is a little annoying because not only do I have to preserve battery power so I have something to do later on before I go to bed but it also means I have to take it into an Apple store which means I could be without a laptop for up to a week! Fingers crossed thats not the case! How would I live?

Anyway, I still have heaps of unpacking and organising to do. I still haven't assembled any of the furniture other than my bed so after the Apple store tomorrow thats the first thing on my agenda.

OOTD : 15th February, 2014 - It Finally Happened

Today I finally made the move out of college and into a house. I am now living with a lovely family who have a four year old and a seven year old, massive house though! Although, I am actually freezing with the ducted air-conditioning! I will be surprised if I still have toes in the morning, I think it is made worse by the fact that my doona is currently waiting to be washed so I am only sleeping under a cotton sheet. 

The move went as smoothly as a move does in close to 100% humidity. So much sweat and I have given up on assembling the IKEA furniture today! I got the bed together and the rest is just going to be a work in progress for the time being. 

Also, I have a walk-in-robe now but I am baffled as to how my clothes are ever going to fit in it which makes me wonder how I ever got it all into my wardrobe at college!

OOTD Fail : 14th February, 2014 - Getting Ready

Today I had work and was in a mad rush to try and find some removalists that could help me tomorrow with no luck unfortunately. But tomorrow is moving day! I will however be between the new place and college until Wednesday to make the move a little easier on myself. 

Fingers crossed all goes well, to be honest I am dreading the moving part! Carrying boxes up stairs is not my thing!

OOTD : 13th February, 2014 - Hell

Recently I have begun to watch Hart of Dixie from the beginning. This wouldn't be a problem except I feel an incessant need to catch up to the current season which means that in the last few days I feel like I have done nothing but watch it. Someone go get me a life, I need it!

Also, I looked at the new spring collection coming out in Australia in march from Mac and realised that I need one of the blushes! TO DIE FOR! It's called petal power and from what I have seen from reviews and swatches it is a perfect first purchase for me from Mac! Fingers crossed it doesn't sell out! Hopefully they bring something like that to their normal collection instead of it being limited edition as well. I can't imagine what it is like to fall in love with a product that becomes discontinued. As soon as I found out it was limited edition I would stock up on them which is not good for my finances.

Moving day is getting closer! Tomorrow I work and then Saturday is moving day! I still haven't nailed down a removalist but I guess thats my job for tomorrow. I have a few days to move so I could do it gradually myself.. We shall see!

OOTD : 11th February, 2014 - Final Change

As of this morning, I will be moving this Saturday. They got a little case of cold feet yesterday and pulled the pin but this morning it was all good... Hopefully no more cases of cold feet!

Today I helped out at playgroup and got spewed on, twice! Hence the two outfits today! I saw my boss, went to the shops and then to Officeworks with a friend. I then did nothing until this evening when I went to see a friend after his graduation ceremony. I am super tired though, today is the first day in a while where I haven't had a nap even though I had plenty of opportunity. Heres hoping that my sleeping habits will improve!

OOTD Fail : 10th February, 2014 - Fallen Through?

This morning I had to move rooms in college which took less than an hour and I was so relieved when I finished that fun task. Then I checked my emails to find one from the people I am supposed to be moving in with on Saturday with them saying that they are opening it up to others to look, say what?!?!? So, I thought I had a place, I guess not.

I am really hoping they get their act together and do the right thing otherwise I am going to be homeless on the 19th of this month!

No pressure!

OOTD : 9th February, 2014 - Hangover Minus Alcohol

This morning I woke up with what I would expect a hangover feels like.. Headache, super tired, achy and nauseous. I guess yesterday was too much for me to handle, it didn't help that I didn't go to bed until well after 2am, again.. 

Today I helped out with creche at church and went to the church lunch. I then went back to my room for a nap but either didn't turn the alarm on or turned it off in my sleep (which I do quite a lot) so instead of waking up at 4pm I woke up well after 8pm which did not make me feel the best.

Anyway, I really needed a day for relaxation.. I have to move to a different room at college tomorrow morning, last move before the big move on Saturday.

Please excuse me re-using photos but I am wearing the same dress but completely forgot to take a photo and then transfer it to my computer, my bad!

Also, I was waiting for an Asos order and it 'arrived' on Friday but the delivery person left it in the Chapel at my college instead of taking it to the admin building so I didn't find it until today, goodness people are dense sometimes.
