June Round-Up

Wow! Hasn't June flown! I feel like it was just yesterday when I was posting my May round-up!

June was jam-packed with work and uni exams which left a lot of days where proper blog posts were not posted. I apologise for how slack I got! June also meant the start of Winter which meant I could bring out more of my winter attire from storage!

My favourite outfits from the Month of June were from the 2nd, 8th, 12th and 14th and are as follows.

2nd June, 2013

Mum's goddaughters communion. It was a super cold and rainy day! I am still to this day unsure of whether this outfit was a little inappropriate for church.

8th June, 2013

This is what I wore to meet a friend in the City for the day and we eventually made it to Vivid. I felt a little overdressed but this dress makes me feel so classy and sophisticated with a little but of surprise in the back! Love, love, love it!

12th June, 2013

My outfit for my City Chic job interview. I thought for sure that I would be in with a chance for a job there but apparently not. You can read all about my experience with them in previous posts. I love this outfit though, leather and lace, delicious! It made me feel really sexy! The skirt was one of my purchases for the month of June, I had been looking for a leather skirt for a while!

14th June, 2013

Another purchase this month was the Flocked Peplum Top from City Chic. I fell in love as soon as I saw it but I think now that I own a few too many peplum tops!

So there are my favourite outfits for this month. I made many purchases in the month of June including a haul from Asos and some Curlformers (which I am yet to do a post on, hopefully I will get around to it soon).

This month I went to Galaxy World and then Vivid which was a fun night out.

I totally owned at Deal or No Deal at Galaxy World and went home with many goodies including these Yoshi slippers!

I also went home to Newcastle to see Disney on Ice and got to see my cousins which was especially nice after two stressful weeks of exams.

Aww Cuties!

So thats basically the month of June for me in a blogpost. I really enjoy doing these because it makes me realise how much I actually do in a month!

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

OOTD : 30th June, 2013 - The Most Messed Up Night

So I did write in my Asos Curve Haul that I had fallen asleep in the afternoon only to wake up at about 10pm. I then went back to sleep at 3am and woke up at 10:30am but stayed in bed until 1:30pm. Talk about messed up, welcome to holidays!

I don't really have any plans for today (or ever) so I just put something on thats comfy. I will probably just be doing some filing and stuff to get all this uni paperwork out of the way. I hope to get my sewing machine out this week also. Got some exciting things I want to make!

Top : City Chic
Singlet : Cotton On
Tights : Avella by Big W

Also, I had a whopping 45 views on my blog yesterday! That is nearly double what I have on a good day, I usually get about 10 views a day, about 20 if its a super good day, but 45 yesterday! Oh my goodness! Thankyou to all the people who read this blog regularly!

P.S. If you haven't looked at my Asos Curve Haul from yesterday/early this morning go check it out!

Asos Curve Haul - How Many Items Do You Need To Call It A Haul?

Anybody know? I don't know if three items is enough to consider it a haul.

I didn't think I was going to get this up as soon as I did but I accidentally fell asleep at 3pm and woke up at 10pm so I thought it was the perfect time to write a blog post.

Three dresses, all dresses I had been drooling over for a while but for two of the three kept going out of stock in my size and all that jazz. Another, I was contemplating and then decided not to get and then I saw Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter post a photo on Instagram with her wearing it that I finally decided to just do it, I blame my shopping addiction on other bloggers that make me need things!

Lets get crackin' with the "haul".

First item was the Asos Curve Wallpaper Print Dress, I am not sure what this retails for but I bought it from an Ebay seller for about $30, not to shabby. I had never seen this dress when it was on the Asos website and then all of a sudden I was seeing it everywhere on blogs so I had to get it, and get it I did!

Pretty right? The only problem I have is that the size I purchased was a UK22 which isn't my size. I can wear UK20 - UK22 usually so it is no surprise to me that it is a bit big on me. I thought better being too big than too small, I can take it in. The only issue with taking it in though is that the zipper is on the side so it will be a little more complicated than just taking in under the arms.

Pattern, gorgeous! Colours, gorgeous! Potato Sack shape, not so much. I feel like with a bit of careful nipping and tucking that it will be a beautiful dress! The fact that its pleated also makes the taking in part a tad more difficult, but I will either move the zip to the middle back and put some darts in under the arms or take it to a professional.

Let me know what you think? Rate it or hate it?

Item number two, the Dolly Skater Paisley Print Dress, was a dress I overlooked when it was on the Asos site because the colours were depicted as being much more paler than what they actually are. I fell in love with this dress when I saw it on a blog (have no idea which one) and decided that I wanted it. Asos had unfortunately sold out of my size but when I went on the site last week for the sale it was up again and only had my size, talk about fate!

I paid $45.55 for this dress, another great purchase. I didn't realise how puffy it was though and I feel like it makes me look a lot bigger than I actually am not only is it pleated but the lining has tulle starting on the sides and around the back, this could be taken out though. Also, its a UK22 but does need some darts under the arms to reduce the size a little bit. This is the item I am considering returning. Let me know what you think.

I think I have said everything that is to be said about this item.. Other than the problems I have outlined above, I do love this dress.

Now onto item number three, at a whopping $78! The Skater Dress in Summer Blurred Floral! I loved this dress when I first saw it but couldn't justify spending that much money on it. So I didn't get it and all was well. Then I saw Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter put a photo on Instagram of her wearing it and I had to get it. The fabric was said to be a stretch one so I got it in a UK20, and I think other than the straps being a little long, it fits perfectly!

Also, the fabric is not what I was expecting, its quite slippery and shiny.

Many people who have blogged about this dress have described it as looking like a Monet painting. I think its absolutely beautiful and summery. Quite ironic that I am buying summery clothes since in Australia, its winter time and absolutely freezing and miserable!

Ahh, so spectacular, a bit short though.

And that is when Emma became unafraid of wearing colour!

I think its funny that none of the items that I bought were monochrome.. Considering I usually steer clear of colours in my wardrobe, maybe I am evolving.

Let me know what you think of the items in this haul, if you own any of them etc.

I hope you have all had a lovely day!
